Just when you thought it’s all been done, this New York quartet combines elements of music you would never think to put on the same playlist, let alone in the same song. Frenzied afro-beats lay down a thumping foundation for bouncy rock tunes with lyrics about life on campus that are clever and coy, reminiscent of songs from Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys. Most surprising are the flurries of orchestral arrangements inspired by classical music. –LT (XL)
