Hey there, fellow readers! I have a list of undiscovered (or as my dad likes to call them, ‘no-name’) boy bands. Over the past couple years I’ve discovered these musicians, some through my amazing older cousin, some from going to concerts and some just on my own. So here are my top five “You Need to Listen to Musicians of 2013” in no particular order:
5. Before You ExitWhere should I begin with this band? Before You Exit consists of three brothers; Connor, Riley and Toby Mcdonough and their friends Braiden Wood and Thomas Silvers. Not only are they incredibly talented and extremely good looking, they also manage to touch all of our hearts with their amazing lyrics.
4. More Than UsMore Than Us is a Canadian Band from Toronto. With lead singer being Diego Gomes, winner of ‘The Next Star’ season 3, along with band members; Jason, Andres, David and Alex, they are becoming the next big thing.
3. Action Item I only have one word to describe Action Item with and it’s ‘incredible’. Action Item also has a variety of different songs ranging from “Brave”; a song about being brave and not giving up on yourself to wonderful songs like “Last Day of Summer”; about it being the last day of summer (obviously) and wanting it to last forever.
2. Fourth & Coast Together, Stephen Ordonez, Jacob Gutman, James Colla and Justin Moreno (four ordinary boys from San Diego, California) form one of the most talented bands I’ve ever heard. I can guaranty that once you’ve heard their song “Ain’t Got a Care in the World,” it will become your new summer jam.
1. Paradise fearsParadise Fears is a band made up of six guys from a small town in South Dakota. The band includes: lead vocals – Sam Miller (21), guitar and vocals – Cole Andre (21), drums – Lucas Zimmerman (20), guitar – Jordan Merrigan (23), Keyboard – Michael Walker (21) and bass – Marcus Sand (21). Paradise Fears is most recognized for their amazing song “Sanctuary.” However, they’ve just recently released a new album titled “Battle Scars” and I highly recommend you check it out!
