10. POKÉMON BLACK AND WHITE (DS)
This installment in the franchise was a massive success. With refined graphics and improved gameplay, there’s no way POKÉMON fans couldn’t have been pleased.
9. TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON (Xbox 360)
While not as mind blowing as WAR FOR CYBERTRON, this third person shooter still took the excitement from the movie and brought it to game form. –AV
8. LEGO STAR WARS III: THE CLONE WARS (3DS)
When STAR WARS meets LEGO, you know that something fantastic is going to happen. Thankfully, this was an improvement on the previous LEGO STAR WARS games.
7. CAPTAIN AMERICA: SUPER SOLDIER (Xbox 360)
We wish it had followed the movie’s storyline, but SUPER SOLDIER still had its high points, allowing players to fill the good Captain’s boots in all his shield wielding glory. –AV
6. GREEN LANTERN: RISE OF THE MANHUNTERS (Xbox 360)
Though it was a little repetitive, RISE OF THE MANHUNTERS did the movie justice with the non-stop battling and range of weapons you could unlock along the way. –AV
5. LEGO PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE VIDEO GAME (DS)
Pairing PIRATES with LEGO made for a winning combo here. Add a huge roster of playable characters and you’ve got some major adventure on the high seas. –AV
4. LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME (3DS)
The 3D graphics enhanced an already classic game, making it bigger and better than ever. Long live Link!
3. PORTAL 2 (PS3)
This quirky and humourous puzzle game was a huge success in 2011. With its mind-bending events and situations that left players wanting more, we can see why.
2. PLANTS VS. ZOMBIES (PS3)
Who knew a tower defence game starring plants and zombies could be so entertaining? This popular game didn’t require a lot of skill, but it was still wildly addictive.
1. LITTLE BIG PLANET 2 (PS3)
With its emphasis on user-generated content, LBP felt fresh, innovative and fun. The massive, playable universe never got old either, making this sequel a worthy successor to the first.
