It’s that time of year, everyone! The winter jackets have come out and the very idea of shorts feels like a distant dream. ‘Tis also the season to be jolly, because Christmas break is approaching and that means that school is out for two weeks! Let’s all look forward to spending time with friends and family, eating good food, giving presents, and maybe catching a few of these great holiday specials on TV.

IT’S A SPONGEBOB CHRISTMAS!– Thursday, December 5 at 6 p.m., Friday, December 6 at 5 p.m., Monday, December 16 at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 17 at 1:30 p.m. and Friday, December 20 at 12 p.m. on YTV

It’s Christmas in Bikini Bottom, and Plankton is doing the same thing he does every day: try to steal the Krabby Patty formula. This time his scheme involves using jerktonium-laced fruitcake to turn the townsfish evil, making it that much more difficult for SpongeBob to stop him!

GOOD LUCK CHARLIE: NYC CHRISTMAS – Friday, December 6 at 6:15 p.m. on Family Channel

New York City is a magical place during the holidays, but Teddy and PJ’s visit turns disastrous when a blizzard makes their university tour into an extended stay. While upset that they can’t return home for Christmas, meeting Jessie on the subway means a fun-filled crossover special that’s sure to keep their holiday spirits up.

SPECIAL HOLIDAY-THEMED NIGHT OF PREMIERES – Starting Sunday, December 8 at 7 p.m. on Disney XD

Celebrate Christmas the action-packed way with the gang in LAB RATS as they prevent a tremor from releasing dangerous gamma rays, then join Crash as he learns more about Hanukkah and other cultures’ holidays with the Bernstein family on CRASH & BERNSTEIN.

SCOOBY-DOO! HAUNTED HOLIDAYS – Monday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m. on Teletoon

Monsters are never far away when the Mystery Inc. gang is around, but this sinister snowman is joined by a huge blizzard which ramps up the terror while lowering the temperature. Find out how Scooby and the rest deal with the haunted clock tower and save the town’s toy store!

A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS – Wednesday, December 11 at 6 p.m. on YTV

Join Charlie Brown, his friends, and the most pathetic Christmas tree you’ve ever seen as the round-headed kid struggles to find out what the true meaning of the holiday really is. Don’t forget to try out some of their sweet dance moves (Linus’ is our favourite)!

JINGLE ALL THE WAY – Sunday, December 15 at 6 p.m.

In this movie, Arnold Schwarzenegger takes a break from terminating and plays Howard Langston, a man on a mission to get a Turbo Man action figure for his son. Instead of cybernetic organisms, he must face someone far more frightening: a desperate postman who wants the last toy for his own kid.

KUNG FU PANDA HOLIDAY SPECIAL – Monday, December 16 at 6:30 p.m. on Teletoon

Being the Dragon Warrior isn’t easy, especially when the upcoming Winter Feast forces you to choose between spending the holiday at the Jade Temple or with your family. Po’s decision eventually involves the help of the Furious Five, rabbit chef Wo Hop, and, of course, plenty of martial arts.

DRAGONS: GIFT OF THE NIGHT FURY – Wednesday, December 18 at 7:00 p.m. on Teletoon

When all the dragons of Berk leave unexpectedly Hiccup creates a special tail attachment for Toothless to fly off on his own and join the others. It turns out that the Night Fury wasn’t the last dragon, though, and the young Viking somehow finds himself dragged off to a mysterious island.

6TEEN: SNOW JOB – Saturday, December 21 at 8 p.m. and Tuesday, December 24 at 6 p.m. on Cartoon Network

A huge snow storm means no school or work, and also the perfect excuse for the six teenagers to head to the mall as usual. Holiday plans make their time anything but relaxing, though, and dances need to be planned and dates found for everything to turn out just right.

THE POWERPUFF GIRLS: ‘TWAS THE FIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS – Sunday, December 22 at 8 p.m. on Teletoon

You’ve probably asked Santa for presents, but have you ever asked him to make you a superhero? When that’s the only thing that one of Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles’ villains asks for, stopping her becomes #1 on their Christmas to-do list.

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE – Monday, December 23 at 12 a.m. on M3

You’re going to have to stay up a little later to catch it, but getting through the holidays without catching this Christmas flick is practically a crime. While you may think it’s a little old-timey for your tastes, this tale of an angel showing a man how meaningful his life is has been dubbed timeless for a reason.

POST-CHRISTMAS MARATHONS – Thursday, December 26 to Thursday, January 2; Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Family Channel

Just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean that the fun has to end, and you can keep on celebrating with marathons of GOOD LUCK CHARLIE, LIV AND MADDIE, AUSTIN & ALLY, JESSIE, and DOG WITH A BLOG.
