We chat with Miles Elliot, who plays Billy Connor in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!
What was your reaction when you found out you got the part in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN?
At first I didn’t know it was Spider-Man. The audition was for an “untitled teen action movie.” When I found out, yeah, I was pretty excited.
Were you a fan of Spider-Man before getting the role?
Not a crazy fan, but I liked the movies a lot.
What was it like working with director Marc Webb and the rest of the cast?
It was really cool working with Marc Webb, because he directed a music video for Green Day and that’s my favourite band! The set was casual, everyone was really nice and they were flexible with my schedule because I was doing a show at school and they let me do it still.
What is your most memorable moment from filming THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN?
I have to two: In the movie we own lizards, so when we were shooting one day we had a lizard wrangler. He was in charge of the lizards on set. The other [memorable moment] was at the first audition. After I did it, the casting assistant liked what I did and ran down the hall and put her hand in the elevator door to stop us from leaving! She wanted me to meet the casting director.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I’m the president of my student council and I started a club at my school called EpicWorks. We made food and served it to the needy at a local rescue mission. And I have a trampoline!
