President Obama will be inaugurated for the second time on January 21 after winning the presidential election last November and he has hand picked Beyonce to be one of the performers!
Beyonce will be joining fellow performers Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor to sing patriotic songs. Beyonce will tackle the national anthem while James Taylor will do a rendition of “America the Great.” Kelly Clarkson will be performing “My Country ‘This of Thee” which is a sung to the tune of the British national anthem, but with different lyrics.
Along with the musical performances, the inauguration will also include a performance by Chilean poet, Richard Blanco, who will be the first ever Latin American as well as youngest inaugural poet.
Officially, according to the Constitution, Obama will be sworn in as president on January 20, but will repeat the ceremony the follow day when the inaugural parade, lunch with Congress and inaugural balls will take place.
