CROSS COUNTRY FUN HUNT is exactly what it sounds like: a search for Canada’s coolest places and fun activities! Kids from all over Canada share the best ways to have fun in their cities, towns and communities. From pole-vaulting in Edmonton to kite boarding in Squamish, B.C., Canada has so much to offer.
The interactive CBC series got kids from across Canada to upload text, photos and/or videos describing what is fun/what they love about their hometown. Then, many of the entries were put to an online vote. Over the course of the summer, Jordan Francis stopped in every province to visit the places with the most votes and check out the fun.
You may remember Jordan as Barron from the CAMP ROCK movies and as Whynot from Family’s CONNOR UNDERCOVER. He decided to do the CROSS COUNTRY FUN HUNT because he wanted to “know more about Canada and what people do in their neighbourhoods.”
Jordan was pretty excited about his epic summer. “This is the most amazing opportunity to have to go across your country and find cool people,” he told The Mag.
But, the hunt is far from over… The series premieres tomorrow and during its TV run, YOU can participate in the Fun Hunt, too! Just go to www.cbc.ca/kids/funhunt! There are a number of ways to partake:
