The MTV Video Music Awards are only a few days away and promise to be full of memorable performances especially now that Drake has been announced as a performer!
The Canadian hit maker will be heading over to Brooklyn, New York this Sunday to give his first live stage performance of her newest song, “Started From The Bottom”! Drake took to his Twitter to make the big announcement writing, “Excited to announce I’ll be performing at the 2013 @MTV VMA’s!!! #Brooklyn #OVO #Started #NeedAKawsTrophy.”
On top of being a performer, Drake is nominated for a coveted Moonman for the video for his single, “Nothing Was The Same.” He’s nominated for Best Hip Hop Video and Best Direction.
Drake will be joining previously announced performers which include Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake. The MTV VMAs will air live on Sunday, August 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Will you be tuning in?
