The third annual Hall Of Game awards were held this past weekend, celebrating sports superstars of the past year. The Cartoon Network counted fan votes for the categories and awarded athletes with the GAME Awards during the event.
Shaquille O’Neal and Nick Cannon hosted the show. Guests included athletes such as members from the Baltimore Ravens Jacoby Jones, Bryant McKinnie and Jimmy Smith (fresh from their Superbowl win) and Olympians McKayla Maroney, Ryan Lochte, Kerri Walsh Jennings, and Gabby Douglas. The star-studded event didn’t stop there with actors such as Bridgit Mendler (GOOD LUCK CHARLIE), Rico Rodriguez (MODERN FAMILY), Laura Marano (AUSTIN AND ALLY), Lucas Cruickshank (FRED), and Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Carlos Pena (BIG TIME RUSH) also in attendance.
Jessica Alba presented the “2012 SI Kids Sportskids of the Year” award to Cayden and Conner Long, with their inspiring story of competing across the country even though Cayden was born with cerebral palsy.
The top awards were given to LeBron James (Miami Heat) for “He’s Got Game” and Gabby Douglas (Olympic gold medalist) for “She’s Got Game.”
The Wanted performed their hit “I Found You” and also presented the “That’s How I Roll” Award to Ryan Lochte (Olympic gold medal swimmer).
