The third annual Hall Of Game awards were held this past weekend, celebrating sports superstars of the past year. The Cartoon Network counted fan votes for the categories and awarded athletes with the GAME Awards during the event.
Shaquille O’Neal and Nick Cannon hosted the show. Guests included athletes from the Baltimore Ravens Jacoby Jones, Bryant McKinnie and Jimmy Smith, fresh from their Super Bowl win, and Olympians McKayla Maroney, Ryan Lochte, Kerri Walsh Jennings, and Gabby Douglas. The star-studded affair also drew actors such as Bridgit Mendler from Good Luck Charlie, Rico Rodriguez from Modern Family, Laura Marano from Austin & Ally, Lucas Cruickshank from Fred, and Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Carlos Pena from Big Time Rush.
Jessica Alba presented the “2012 SI Kids Sportskids of the Year” award to Cayden and Conner Long, honoring their journey of competing across the country despite Cayden being born with cerebral palsy.
The top honors went to LeBron James of the Miami Heat for “He’s Got Game” and Gabby Douglas, Olympic gold medalist, for “She’s Got Game.”
The Wanted performed their hit “I Found You” and also presented the “That’s How I Roll” Award to Ryan Lochte, Olympic gold medal swimmer.
