Love is causing huge problems for The Next Step dancers, how will they deal with the drama?
Giselle, Amanda and Thalia are rehearsing their dance for Nationals. But the only thing on Giselle and Thalia’s mind is their new duet. The fake-challenge they proposed to motivate Riley and James did not go as planned and now they are stuck with the duet.
With Kate’s approval, Giselle and Thalia are going to ask Riley and James to take their duet back and hope that they agree.
In Culture Shock, Michelle approaches Emily to tell her that she her kiss Hunter. She also comments on how that was a really “low’ thing to do. Emily leaves furious, remarking that Michelle had done the same thing with Eldon.
Giselle and Thalia approach Riley first and confess about the fake challenge. Riley understands but tells them that the duet is no longer worth fighting for.
Eldon is working on some tricks when Michelle enters the studio to talk to him. She is beginning to rethink everything about The Next Step including even being at the studio and needs his advice. Eldon tells her to do what she thinks is best.
Riley is walking home from The Next Step when James approaches her. He trys to talk to Riley, but she is not ready to talk to him.
Hunter finds Emily in Culture Shock, it’s been days since the kiss and they still haven’t talked about it. He tells Emily that he is glad the kiss happened! Emily confesses to him that Michelle saw them kiss, and Hunter jumps up to go talk to her.
After finding James and having him say no to the duet as well, Giselle and Thalia tell Kate the bad news. The only advice she can give them is to start rehearsing for the duet immediately.
Meanwhile in the studio, Michelle is dancing to clear her mind when Hunter walks in. He tells Michelle that he wants to be with Emily.
Michelle is feeling very confused; The Next Step used to be her family and now she’s no longer sure she wants to be a dancer.
