The season finale of THE NEXT STEP had us on the seats from start to finish. We can’t wait for season two, but in the meantime, check out what happened last week!
The episode started out with the dancers rehearsing their routine for the finals. While Eldon and Michelle are practicing their duet, Eldon tells Michelle he wants to be with her. Talk about dropping the relationship bomb within two minutes of the show! (Not that we’re complaining.)
Of course, Michelle is as stunned as we are! She says she hopes it doesn’t mess anything up and Eldon reassures her he will tell Emily after regionals. These two are too cute!
But Emily is upset. She goes to Eldon and wants to talk to him privately for a few minutes. Eldon brushes her off, saying that he needs to work on his choreography.
With Emily distracted, we’re worried how this will affect the team! Hopefully everyone can keep it together. The Next Step has some fierce competition with Elite and the truth is they’re the underdogs.
Elite kicks off their performance with an amazing set, killer costumes and a cool concept. Though we’re rooting for The Next Step, Elite is pretty amazing! They’ve topped their last dance with impeccable technique and jaw-dropping moves. They even receive a standing ovation from the audience.
As The Next Step takes the stage, James sees Beth in the wings. Riley seems furious. When Beth tells James she loves him, James is in shock, but keeps it a secret from Riley. Uh oh… it looks like more than one relationship is on the rocks!
Emily finally cannot hold it in anymore. She pulls Eldon aside and demands he tell her what is happening between him and Michelle. Eldon doesn’t want to talk about it, but finally admits that he wants to be with Michelle instead of her. Emily is crushed.
With The Next Step taking the stage, we can’t help but wonder how all this love drama is going to impact their performance.
The duet with Eldon and Michelle is perfect – their chemistry is unreal! With flips and amazing energy, The Next Step do a phenomenal job. It’s safe to say that Elite and The Next Step are neck and neck at this point.
And the winner of the Absolute Regionals Dance Competition is… The Next Step!
Everyone is ecstatic! After watching how far the dancers have come, we think this is totally a deserved win.
But of course, the drama is far from over. With new relationships, complications and alliances forming, season two is probably going to be even more intense!
