The appisodes tell the story of a band, Totally Amp’d, and its band members Aria (Cristine Prosperi), Brando (Demetrius Joyette), Tyler (Brock Morgan), Madison (Amanda Thomson), and Lexi (Camden Angelis). They have entered a competition and winning could change their lives. With the help of their mentor, Zoe Jones (Ashley Leggat), they must work together to get past their differences and the obstacles they face to have a shot at their big break. The app also includes interactive activities within the Music, Video, and Design Studios.
To build anticipation for the app, four popular young adult authors on Wattpad.com, a site that allows users to write and share stories, have written background stories for the five group members of Totally Amp’d. They’ve each written an awesome story – one from each character’s perspective – that begins at the group’s audition with Zoe, and then flashes back in time to tell the story of how the character got to that point.
