GLEE has been on a roll with consistently divulging new information to make fans even more excited for the fourth season. This season, there will be many new faces joining the show. With a few graduating seniors moving on, the New Directions need some more members, so we can expect some unfamiliar students walking the halls of McKinley. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson have already confirmed that they will be joining the cast. Now, Whoopi Goldberg will be reprising her guest star role in season four.
The award winning actress first appeared on the show at the end of season three. She played Carmen Tibideaux, the intimidating dean from NYADA who gave Rachel a second chance after she choked during her audition and who decided that Kurt wasn’t NYADA material.
In season four, she will return as a special guest star and appear in several episodes. While the extent of her involvement is currently under wraps, we’re guessing that she and Rachel may cross paths once again. Rachel’s NYADA acceptance journey was quite dramatic (this is Rachel Berry, after all) and it wouldn’t be surprising if her relationship with Carmen continues down a rocky path.
Don’t miss Whoopi Goldberg’s return to the world of musical theatre in the season four premiere ofGLEE on September 13!
