While filming for Men In Black III is underway in New York, series star Will Smith has been staying in a massive 53 foot long trailer in Manhattan’s Soho district. But, it seems residents in the area are reportedly fed up with his extended stay. Complaints are now coming in saying that the trailer is a “nuisance”.
The locals claim that the super trailer is “smelly”, and some claim it’s like “living in a gas station”. One resident, Myrna Reisman, told the New York Post, “”How would Will Smith feel if I parked that thing out in front of his house? People forget this is a residential neighborhood, not a film lot – that thing is taking up half our gasoline reserve.”
The massive trailer is said to feature a cinema, a lounge bar, offices, a meeting room, a full-sized kitchen, and a large bedroom and bath.
City officials have confirmed that police are in talks with the production team to ensure that no parking laws are being broken by any of the films’ vehicles (including Smith’s trailer). A rep for Sony Pictures Entertainment told the Post in a statement that they are “always respectful of the area residents and businesses.”
