Just a day after famed Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, announced his retirement, his replacement has already been confirmed.
As of July 1, David Moyes will be the manager of Manchester United after having signed a contract for six years. Moyes was hand picked by Ferguson as his own replacement and will be leaving his post at Everton after 11 years.
Ferguson and Moyes have had a close personal and professional relationship for years and many people suspected that Moyes would become manager of Man U even before Ferguson’s retirement for confirmed. In addition, Ferguson even once considered appointing Moyes his assistant!
Moyes has some huge shoes to fill, though, since Ferguson holds the record for most successful manager of a soccer team. Let’s see if Moyes can live up to the talk!
