Yesterday, a huge crowd of over 52,000 people gathered in downtown Toronto to watch the Toronto Argonauts win the 100th Grey Cup, beating the Calgary Stampeders by thirteen points, making the overall score 35-22!

The Argo’s running back, Chad Kackert, was named the game’s most outstanding player after having 20 carries for 133 yards along with eight catches for 62 yards. Another player of the Argo’s, Ricky Foley, was named top Canadian!

The Stampeders scored their only touchdown minutes before the game ended, whereas the Argonauts scored three touchdowns in the first half of the game!

During the game’s halftime, four Canadian singers performed. Gordon Lightfoot kicked off the show before making way for Carly Rae Jepsen, Marianas Trench and Justin Bieber. The crowd got a lively performance from Marianas trench, followed by Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit single “Call Me Maybe” and last but not least, Justin Bieber closed the show with his song “Boyfriend.”

“It’s an honour to be here at the Grey Cup,” said Bieber before launching into one of his songs.

We’re very proud of the Toronto Argonauts wish them the best in their games to come!
