Like the previous installment, this sixth episode of The Next Step shifts more action outside the studio walls. Titled Good Girls Go Bad, it centers on the main competition with Elite, the team’s season-long rival. Emily, Stephanie, and Tiffany return from a trio showcase, where they placed second to Elite, who won first. Stephanie captures a moment of Elite’s routine and points out the existence of a larger group called A Troupe. Emily proposes they swing by the Elite studio for a quick glimpse of their regional routine so they can gauge what they are up against. The idea lands with broad agreement, setting the stage for a high-stakes week for The Next Step crew.

Riley steps forward to say she will join the excursion, but Emily makes it clear she is not invited. James declines the trip, not wanting to leave Riley behind. Michelle volunteers to go because she believes it will bring her closer to Emily, adding a layer of tension to the mix for fans in Canada and the United States who follow every studio rivalry.

Riley then asks James to do a favor: accompany the group to Elite to keep an eye on Michelle. She recognizes the friction between Emily and Michelle and wants backup she can trust. James agrees, but only after convincing Emily to let him come along. He reveals he once dated someone from Elite and knows a back entrance they can use to slip in. With that plan in place, the team on the trip becomes Emily, Stephanie, Tiffany, Chloe, Eldon, Michelle and James.

Emily drives the crew to Elite, and they slip in through the back to observe a portion of the practice. They depart quietly, but before leaving, Emily suggests they grab a quick video to bring back for the Next Step. James cautions against it, while Michelle volunteers, hoping to win Emily’s approval. Recalling Riley’s request, James offers to film instead. Eldon leans toward taking the video, but Emily shuts that idea down. Michelle pushes again and finally gains Emily’s permission to go ahead.

Back at the studio, Daniel books extra practice time. He spends time with Giselle, the mentor who helped him become a dance partner in the past, though she’s now with B Troupe. West shows up hoping to use the space, and Daniel agrees to share half the studio, but the arrangement quickly proves tricky.

West suggests they choreograph pieces for one another: West crafts a hip hop routine for Daniel, while Daniel creates a ballet piece for West. They start with wide gaps between their styles, stumbling as they try to switch gears, yet each grows to appreciate the other’s approach. Daniel has long believed dance hinges on precision and discipline, but West teaches him to listen to the music and feel the groove. The result is a duet that fuses the two distinct styles into something new and expressive.

Michelle heads in to film the Elite activity, while those outside grow anxious as she stays inside longer than expected. Emily sends Stephanie to check on Michelle, and a text from Emily ping-pings on Michelle’s phone. The Elite leader calls Michelle to the front, and Stephanie sees the moment and runs to warn the others. The group piles into a car, leaving Michelle to face Elite alone as alarms and questions hang in the air.
